Shrimati Sudakshina Alagia with Pandit Abhijeet Banerjee on tabla and Shri Naresh Awasthi on harmonium. First composition is a Dadra in Kirwani and the second is a Bhajan Mishra Khamaj. Concert was on October 26th, 2013. Sudakshina Alagia is a classical singer, performing artist and teacher of Hindustani vocal music from San Diego. With her rich tone, melodious voice and modulation evoking sublime emotions, she blends her voice in a variety of music. She was the lead singer for "Geet Gobindam" that won the prestigious Lester Horton Award at the Sacred Music Festival of 2008. Pt. Abhijeet Banerjee is a "A" grade artist of All India Radio for more than eight years. He has toured extensively all over the globe with artists from India and also as a Solo Performer. Abhijeet has collaborated with musicians such as Ry Cooder, Larry Coryell, Badal Roy, Trilok Gurtu and scored music for Documentary films. Nareshji is a student of Sudakshinas in vocal and is talented with the harmonium as well.
